Data protection information (Contact form PACE Drive Business)

PACE Telematics GmbH (hereinafter referred to as PACE) offers its business customers and interested parties (hereinafter referred to as customers) the opportunity to obtain more information via the Google Form contact form. Through this contact, PACE receives valuable information from customers and interested parties in order to introduce, further develop and optimize PACE Drive Business.
The following data protection information applies to all PACE Business customers and interested parties who send the contact form via Google Forms in order to regulate the establishment of contact and to inform them about the associated data processing.

Procedure of the contact form
PACE Business customers and interested parties can fill out and send the form by clicking on the “Contact us now” button.
In doing so, each customer accepts that the information contained therein will be processed by PACE in the manner described here.
Therefore, filling out and submitting the contact form also means consenting to the transfer of the personal information provided in the form to Google servers in the USA (see further information below).

Data processing
PACE processes the personal data of customers for the purpose of establishing contact. This is done on the basis of the customer’s consent (Art. 6 para. 1 a) GDPR). PACE is responsible for data processing within the meaning of data protection law. The contact details provided in the contact form are stored and processed by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We plan to introduce the product in the course of 2024 and will store the personal data for this period in any case.

Use of Google Forms and Google Meets
As part of the campaign, Google Forms are used to enable participants to provide further information. This involves the transfer of data to the USA. By sending the information in the contact form, the customer also declares their consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 a in conjunction with Art. 49 para. 1 a) GDPR. Art. 49 para. 1 a) GDPR to the transfer of data to Google servers in the USA, to enable the use of Google Forms for the provision of further information and for subsequent evaluation by PACE.

For the USA, there is an adequacy decision by the EU pursuant to Art. 45 para. 1 GDPR, which certifies that the USA has an adequate level of data protection, which means that data transfers to the USA are generally permitted. The prerequisite for this is that the third-party providers from the USA have each certified themselves under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF). This is the case with Google, LLC, which operates Google Forms and Google Meets. This means that data transfers to this third-party provider are permitted without further ado. Furthermore, in the case of order processing, a corresponding order processing contract has been concluded with this company to safeguard the data and our rights to issue instructions.

Data will not be passed on to third parties.

The customer can revoke his declared consent at any time with effect for the future. The revocation must be sent to datenschutz@pace.car. Once consent has been withdrawn, the participant’s personal data collected and stored will be deleted immediately.
The participant also has the rights with regard to the processing of personal data that can be found in PACE’s general privacy policy (there: at the end).
